The vineyards start to sprout these days. We keep hoeing the in-trunk side of the line and we have discovered cutworms, THAT EAT THE BUDS! In a few weeks there will be deer joining them and nibble the young sprouts - as every year. We depend on the nature, we cannot kill all the pests and parasites applying chemicals, we have to be patient. Cheers!
Note: I have enjoyed so much today Blanc de Pinot noir 2015 (directly from barrel)!!
We have set the plows and started to plough the vineyards. We plan to finish tying this week, and then we will start hoeing. Grass and weeds keep growing, so we have to stop it quickly. A glass of wine after a good work tastes even better.
